Description:
When your students get to college, their instructors will not allow them to use open web searching to write their research papers. They will require that they use online library databases. Have no fear! Research databases aren't difficult to use but it does take some instruction to use them successfully. You and your students will appreciate the safety, accuracy, and currency of validated, copyright–clear, and organized information sources. SUHSD teacher librarians will introduce you to the middle to high school level databases recently provided for us by the State of California.

Session Objective(s):
Participants will be able to easily access research databases, identify which databases are best for which assignments, and know when to contact their librarian to help build research lessons.
